Sean Evans vs. Adam Nowak: The Fight For A Title Shot (Video #10)

Shouting "Polish Power!" (reminiscent of old WWF legend Ivan Putski), Adam Nowak enters The LRW mat area as the Polish National Anthem is played.
When Sean Evans is introduced, the tension between him and federation owner Old Freddie Young is palpable. (Freddie suffered a black eye in an altercation with Sean when the last video production got out of hand.)
The match starts off with Adam in the top position. Adam enjoys a few moments of control before Sean racks up points for an escape.
After several minutes of standing hand-to-hand combat with neither wrestler gaining an advantage, it becomes clear that this is an evenly matched contest. The expression on Sean's face indicates that he is both surprised and impressed by Adam's tenacity.
The boys trade several pin attempts but both still have enough energy to power out before a three-count. Eventually, Adam is nearly knocked into some living room furniture, and the whistle blows.
With several LRW Wrestling appearances under his belt, Sean should have been the clear favorite in this match. However, there were certain instances in which Sean actually seemed intimidated by the rookie upstart.
By this time, both wrestlers are visibly tired. Summoning the strength to power out of pin attempts is becoming difficult.
Adam had totally exhausted himself while struggling to keep Sean's shoulders on the mat during a series of pin attempts. Sensing Adam's fatigue, Sean moved in for the kill. Finally, just one minute and ten seconds before the 15-minute time limit, Sean scores a pinfall victory over his plucky opponent.
A thoroughly disappointed Adam Nowak was interviewed after the match. Freddie acknowledged that both wrestlers competed with integrity and either young man could have been victorious. Adam was gracious in defeat and called Sean, "a great athlete."
A confident (to the point of hubris) Sean Evans was also interviewed after the match. When asked to say a few words about his opponent, Sean was not as deferential as Adam had been: "He was alright, but nothing special. I knew I was going to win."
Nevertheless, Sean Evans has earned a shot at the LRW Wrestling Super-Star Championship which has been held by our controversial title holder, Fratboy Francis Franklin (aka "Triple F") for nearly three years. Freddie has announced that this match will be a no-disqualification match -- so "Triple F" will not be able to save his title via an intentional DQ. This just might be the Fratboy's toughest challenge to date. Keep checking this blog for all of the late breaking details!!! (The won-lost records on our LRW Locker Room page have been updated to reflect the result of the Sean Evans vs. Adam Nowak match.)

Video #10: Sean Evans vs. Adam Nowak (Available for Download)

In this, our tenth video presentation, LRW Wrestling returns to its original concept: athletic competition between photogenic males. Don't expect any pro wrestling style theatrics or homages to Hollywood cult classics in this video. Just expect two highly competitive young men engaged in an evenly matched struggle. If perspiration and straining muscles are your thing, this video is for you.
Actually, it was young Adam Nowak, the Polish immigrant rookie making his LRW debut, who insisted on a purely athletic endeavor. We obliged, and we're glad that we did. Sean Evans rose to the occasion, and we ended up producing a match similar to a Movimus video (which was how we envisioned LRW Wrestling when we first began, with the "Triple F" vs. Kyle O'Connor match in 2015).
Of course, the stakes are high in this match; the winner goes on to meet the wrestler who has held our championship title since that aforementioned, very first match-up -- Fratboy Francis Franklin aka "Triple F" (the entitled young gentleman from the posh environs of Fairfield County, Connecticut).
Both Adam and Sean throw everything they have into this match; you can gauge their intensity by studying their facial expressions. In the end, both wrestlers are exhausted, but the more exhausted of the two falls victim to a clean, legal pin at the hands of his more resilient opponent. There are no shortcuts and no illegal maneuvers -- just a grueling bout that concludes only two minutes short of our established, 15-minute time limit. The loser is understandably disappointed, but gracious in defeat.
The actual match (along with two brief ring introductions) lasts 13 minutes, 2 seconds (so the emphasis in this video is definitely on wrestling, not show business). Both wrestlers were available for post-match interviews, bringing this video to a total length of 19 minutes, 14 seconds.

LRW Wrestling's Hayden Beaulieu Sings "Blue Velvet"

Please keep young Hayden Beaulieu in your thoughts and prayers -- he seems destined for some rough times. Poor baby.
In this video, Hayden is introduced to the LRW Wrestling world as a budding chanteur, performing "Blue Velvet" in a style similar to Lana Del Rey's (as opposed to the classic Bobby Vinton version). Handling the intros is none other than Hayden's bosom buddy (and would-be Velvet Mafia tag team partner), Sean Evans.
Of course, Old Freddie Young has put the kibosh on the whole Velvet Mafia idea, jeopardizing the tender bromance by forcing Sean and Hayden to fight each other -- no disqualifications and no submissions -- in the next LRW Wrestling production. After Hayden's disrespectful comments to Old Freddie ("creepy and bizarre" indeed!) and display of homophobic panic during his introductory interview, Freddie has behaved in an unhinged, vengeful manner mirroring Dennis Hopper's portrayal of Frank Booth in the David Lynch cult classic. Like Frank Booth's heterosexual obsession for a seductive, self-destructive chanteuse, Freddie's fixation on the neophyte grappler has prompted him to announce that he himself will serve as referee for the contest -- ensuring that Hayden endures maximum pain and suffering!!!
Sean Evans is a recent college graduate who is up-to-his-neck in debt. Despite his bond with Hayden, Sean knows where his bread is buttered and who signs his paychecks. Sean is expected to put his personal feelings aside and punish Hayden unmercifully -- with Old Freddie driving him to commit even greater acts of cruelty!!! This sort of match is a major departure for LRW Wrestling, and Video #8 will be a presentation that you won't want to miss!!!

LRW Wrestling Presents...Joshua Lonergan

Our newest addition to the LRW Wrestling roster just might be that "face" we've been looking for -- the handsome, young hero who will give the "heels" of our federation their long overdue comeuppance!!!
Standing at a height of 5' 10" tall, weighing in at 174 lbs. and hailing from the rural community of Sandwich, New Hampshire -- LRW Wrestling is proud to present Joshua Lonergan!!!
Joshua removes his red-white-and-blue ring jacket
Joshua just finished a stint serving our nation as a paratrooper with the 425th Infantry Division (Airborne), jumping out of C-17's into combat zones. Stationed at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, Josh had no difficulty adjusting to the frigid climate -- he's originally a farm boy from Sandwich, New Hampshire who has ten years of experience in growing crops and raising poultry!!!
Young Joshua comes to us with four years of theater experience, but now he is primarily involved in film work. The Devil Knocks Twice, Calling in Demons, and Don't Let Daisy Die are three of Joshua's most recent film credits, which makes us worry that our patriotic hero may be getting typecast as a villain in slasher films!!!
In addition, like so many LRW Wrestlers, Joshua is involved in the modeling industry, having been featured in advertisements for Reebok and New Balance sportswear, plus G-Star (a Dutch designer clothing company).
A photo from Joshua's modeling portfolio
Joshua bears a striking resemblance to James Dean, and he has consciously emulated the silver screen icon in many of his modeling pics. Oh, and Joshua is also a huge fan of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. What's not to love about this guy???
No, that's not Joshua. It's James Dean from "Rebel Without A Cause."
Astrologically speaking, Joshua is a Leo -- which means that three of our four most recent hirees (Joltin' Juke Jason, Sean Evans, and now Joshua) have been Leos!!!
The fourth new member of our roster (and the sole "heel" of the group) is, of course, Kurt Mendelsohn -- and Joshua has no love for him whatsoever!!! Joshua had harsh words when speaking of Kurt's most recent match (against Sean Evans): ""a shame...very spiteful...it says a lot about who he is as a person...to see what he was doing to that poor guy, it honestly pissed me off..." Then Joshua discarded his red-white-and-blue ring jacket to flex his muscles and give Kurt an idea as to what he'll be up against!!!
Joshua's impressive physique may spell trouble for Kurt Mendelsohn
Well, we here at LRW Wresting are overjoyed that Joshua is "pissed off" at Kurt, and we've signed the two to a contract. The next LRW Wrestling presentation (Video #7) will feature Joshua Lonergan vs. Kurt Mendelsohn -- and we certainly hope that the nefarious Boston Bad Boy gets everything that's coming to him!!!
You have to keep looking over your shoulder when you're dealing with Kurt Mendelsohn
(Note: The LRW Wrestling Locker Room page has been updated to include the addition of Joshua Lonergan to our roster.)

LRW Wrestling Presents...Kurt Mendelsohn

Our latest addition to the LRW Wrestling roster is a tatted up graffiti artist from the mean streets of Boston -- a blond-haired bad boy by the name of Kurt Mendelsohn.
Standing at 6' 2" tall and weighing 170 lbs., Kurt is a two sport (hockey and lacrosse) athlete at Syracuse University. An inner-city tough guy with the personality of a wild, predatory beast, Kurt considers the wolf to be his spirit animal. As evidenced by Kurt's profane gesture during his introductory interview, this young man is a different breed of LRW wrestler -- a Boston-strong roughneck from the wrong side of the tracks!
With customary hubris, Kurt dismisses his upcoming LRW opponent, Sean Evans: "He's got nothing on me." Not surprisingly, one of Kurt's numerous tattoos is the Northern Scottish motto, "Invictus maneo" (which means "I remain unvanquished" or, as Kurt phrased it, "I remain invincible").
Kurt masquerading as a preppie
As you can see from the above photo, Kurt can project a totally different (some may say, "totally misleading") image when he so desires. To view a gallery of 30 Kurt Mendelsohn portraits taken exclusively for LRW Wrestling (including pics of Kurt wearing his red, Nike NYLON WINDBREAKER!!!), just click on this link: KURT MENDELSOHN PORTRAITS.
Welcome to LRW Wrestling, Kurt Mendelsohn!!!
(P.S. The LRW Locker Room page has been updated to reflect the addition of Kurt to our roster.)

LRW Wrestling Presents...Cameron Murphy

LRW Wrestling proudly presents its next participant -- another young man from the Granite State aka New Hampshire -- Cameron Murphy!!!
Hailing from the great northern New England town of Concord, Cameron may not have a wealth of wrestling experience; however, this handsome, 6'1" young man does have a plethora of acting experience, and the silver screen's "Sexy Teenage Werewolf" plans to be on a "rampage" here in the Living Room Wrestling federation!!!
We wish this deceptively slender but powerfully-built, former competitive swimmer all the luck of the Irish in his quest for Triple F's championship gold!!!
(NOTE: LRW fans wishing to correspond with Cameron can email him at lrw-wrestling@comcast.net . Just put "Cameron Murphy" in the subject heading, and we guarantee that Cameron will receive all of your messages!!!)
Welcome to LRW, Cameron Murphy!!!

Video #2: Nathaniel Noel vs. "Triple F" (Available For Download)

LRW Wrestling Preview: Nathaniel Noel vs. "Triple F" from LRW Wrestling on Vimeo.
It's affluent Fairfield County, Connecticut vs. rustic Nashua, New Hampshire as the reigning LRW Wrestling Super-Star Champion, Fratboy Francis Franklin (aka "Triple F") takes on big, strong, wholesome Nathaniel Noel in our second video offering.
Prior to this match, I had told Nathaniel to study Triple F's match against Kyle O'Connor, and pay close attention to the manner in which the Fratboy dictated the pace of that match. As a result, Nathaniel told me that he planned to grind Triple F into the mat, maintain holds for lengthy periods, and focus on attaining a pin or submission.
Therefore, it surprised me when, once again, Triple F seemed successful in manipulating his opponent into wrestling his style of fast-paced grappling. Instead of sticking to his plan, Nathaniel frequently applied and released holds, returned to a neutral position, and then attempted a new series of maneuvers -- a strategy designed to gain a point advantage, but not conducive to defeating a slender wrestler with proven stamina like Franklin.

However, what amazed me about this match was the fact that Nathaniel -- the larger, heavier wrestler -- actually seemed to have even better cardiovascular conditioning than Triple F. Early in the match, it becomes obvious that the fast pace is wearing Triple F down while Nathaniel remains as energetic as ever.

Truthfully, Nathaniel dominates this encounter. It's an exhausting struggle, with Triple F gasping for breath and Nathaniel's untanned, Northern New England flesh reddened. By my count, Nathaniel attempts two pins and Triple F forces three mandatory breaks by slithering out of bounds while in Nathaniel's clutches. (You'll notice that, in this match, the wrestlers are instructed to clearly articulate, "Out of bounds. Break!" when the point of control moves outside the mat's circular parameter.)
Nathaniel breakdances to Eminem's "Lose Yourself" prior to the match
Does Nathaniel become the new LRW Wrestling Super-Star Champion? Well, download the video and find out! All I will tell you is that pro wrestling elements do come into play -- that includes Nathaniel's Sleeper Hold, Triple F's frat paddle, the secret "neutralizer" for the paddle that Nathaniel mentioned in his interview...and all sorts of post-match shenanigans...

LRW Wrestling Presents...Nathaniel Noel

LRW Wrestling Presents Nathaniel Noel from LRW Wrestling on Vimeo.

Welcome to LRW Wrestling, Nathaniel Noel!!!
Nathaniel is from Nashua, New Hampshire, and we're delighted that this handsome young man (who is studying chemistry at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, by the way) made the trek from northern New England to entertain our LRW fans.
Nathan will be wrestling the controversial Fratboy Francis Franklin aka "Triple F" for the LRW Wrestling Super-Star Championship in a soon-to-be-released videotaped match-up. As we can personally attest, Nathaniel is a bona fide master of the sleeper hold, and Triple F's championship reign just may be in serious jeopardy!!!
It is indeed an honor to have Nathaniel in the ranks of LRW grapplers. We wish him the best of luck in his upcoming championship bout with Triple F, and in all of his future wrestling endeavors!!!
(NOTE: LRW fans wishing to correspond with Nathan can email him at lrw-wrestling@comcast.net . Just put "Nathaniel Noel" in the subject heading, and we guarantee that Nathan will receive all of your messages!!!)
