LRW Wrestling Video #12: Sean Evans vs. Peter O'Rourke

Now Available For Download!!!

Here it is...the long awaited title match between our newly crowned LRW Wrestling Super-Star Champion, "The Sandman" Sean Evans (master of the sleeper hold) and the muscular LRW newcomer, Peter O'Rourke (a certified Pilates instructor and national yoga champion)!!!
The start of the match.
This is actually one of the most evenly matched encounters that LRW Wrestling has ever presented, and either competitor could come out of this back-and-forth battle with a title win!!!
Sean attempted to pin Peter many times, but Peter kept powering out of the pin attempts.
Champion Sean Evans will rely on his wealth of underground wrestling experience to successfully defend his belt, but neophyte Peter O'Rourke (a fanatic when it comes to physical conditioning) is clearly not intimidated. As a matter of fact, midway through the match, Peter employs a brilliant psychological ploy which turns the tide of the contest!!!
Typical mat action.
This 20 minute, 52 second video consists of 1 minute and 57 seconds of pre-match ring introductions, 14 minutes and 39 seconds of actual wrestling, and 4 minutes, 16 seconds featuring post-match interviews with both combatants!!! (NOTE: During the wrestling portion, there is a 1 minute, 12 second break in the action due to a rules controversy. Also, we do have fun utilizing animations and visual effects during the early portion of this video, but not to such a degree that it distracts from the action of the match.)
Sean with the upper hand.
Will Sean Evans (sporting a shorter, darker hairstyle and some fresh ink, by the way) be successful in his first-ever LRW Wrestling Super-Star Championship title defense, or will Peter O'Rourke become the new standard bearer for our federation? Buy the video of this hotly contested mat war and find out for yourself!!!

LRW Wrestling Presents...Peter O'Rourke!!!

LRW Wrestling is proud to welcome yet another Connecticut boy to our roster. Hailing from the Elm City of New Haven, Connecticut, our newest wrestler is a highly charismatic (and photogenic) young man by the name of Peter O'Rourke!!!
Like most of our wrestlers, Peter is active in theater (film and television work, commercials, and modeling assignments). In addition, Peter is a Pilates instructor and a national champion in the competitive sport of yoga ("yes, it is a thing," Peter informs us) -- an endeavor which Peter compares to "a gymnastic performance."
Peter also enjoys playing music (bass guitar, rhythm guitar, and drums) and he's the house bassist for a non-profit space in New Haven.
Peter's hobbies include hiking, surfing, skateboarding, and weight lifting. Furthermore, Peter has tried his hand at stand-up comedy and he also has an interest in creative writing. (By the way, this well-rounded individual is born under the astrological sign of Pisces -- a first for the LRW Wrestling roster.)
Welcome to LRW Wrestling, Peter O'Rourke!!!
NOTE: Our Locker Room page has been updated to include Peter on the roster.

Keeping Up With Kyle O'Connor

The very first member of the LRW roster, Kyle O'Connor from Ojai, California, remains one of our most popular wrestlers to date. Therefore we'd like to provide you with an update concerning Kyle's activities since his March 8, 2015 debut match.
Kyle had been studying Renewable Energy at South Africa's Stellenbosch University, but now he's back in Cali, working as a Leak Detection Specialist for a pool service company while supplementing his income as a surfing instructor and as a model for some of the top photographers in the L.A. area. Here's a pic of Kyle (and some admirers) at Cape Town's Boulders Beach Penguin Sanctuary in January of 2016, less than a year after his LRW appearance.
Here's Kyle eating a fish that he'd just speared and cooked on Tofo Beach in Mozambique in May of 2016.
Here's Kyle feeding an elephant a little over a year ago, in January of 2017.
Finally, for those who wondered what Kyle looks like now, here he is going for a run about three months ago.
Such a handsome guy!!! Kyle, if you ever return to the East Coast, know that you'll always have a place on the LRW Wrestling roster (and in our hearts).

Sean Evans vs. Adam Nowak: The Fight For A Title Shot (Video #10)

Shouting "Polish Power!" (reminiscent of old WWF legend Ivan Putski), Adam Nowak enters The LRW mat area as the Polish National Anthem is played.
When Sean Evans is introduced, the tension between him and federation owner Old Freddie Young is palpable. (Freddie suffered a black eye in an altercation with Sean when the last video production got out of hand.)
The match starts off with Adam in the top position. Adam enjoys a few moments of control before Sean racks up points for an escape.
After several minutes of standing hand-to-hand combat with neither wrestler gaining an advantage, it becomes clear that this is an evenly matched contest. The expression on Sean's face indicates that he is both surprised and impressed by Adam's tenacity.
The boys trade several pin attempts but both still have enough energy to power out before a three-count. Eventually, Adam is nearly knocked into some living room furniture, and the whistle blows.
With several LRW Wrestling appearances under his belt, Sean should have been the clear favorite in this match. However, there were certain instances in which Sean actually seemed intimidated by the rookie upstart.
By this time, both wrestlers are visibly tired. Summoning the strength to power out of pin attempts is becoming difficult.
Adam had totally exhausted himself while struggling to keep Sean's shoulders on the mat during a series of pin attempts. Sensing Adam's fatigue, Sean moved in for the kill. Finally, just one minute and ten seconds before the 15-minute time limit, Sean scores a pinfall victory over his plucky opponent.
A thoroughly disappointed Adam Nowak was interviewed after the match. Freddie acknowledged that both wrestlers competed with integrity and either young man could have been victorious. Adam was gracious in defeat and called Sean, "a great athlete."
A confident (to the point of hubris) Sean Evans was also interviewed after the match. When asked to say a few words about his opponent, Sean was not as deferential as Adam had been: "He was alright, but nothing special. I knew I was going to win."
Nevertheless, Sean Evans has earned a shot at the LRW Wrestling Super-Star Championship which has been held by our controversial title holder, Fratboy Francis Franklin (aka "Triple F") for nearly three years. Freddie has announced that this match will be a no-disqualification match -- so "Triple F" will not be able to save his title via an intentional DQ. This just might be the Fratboy's toughest challenge to date. Keep checking this blog for all of the late breaking details!!! (The won-lost records on our LRW Locker Room page have been updated to reflect the result of the Sean Evans vs. Adam Nowak match.)

Video #10: Sean Evans vs. Adam Nowak (Available for Download)

In this, our tenth video presentation, LRW Wrestling returns to its original concept: athletic competition between photogenic males. Don't expect any pro wrestling style theatrics or homages to Hollywood cult classics in this video. Just expect two highly competitive young men engaged in an evenly matched struggle. If perspiration and straining muscles are your thing, this video is for you.
Actually, it was young Adam Nowak, the Polish immigrant rookie making his LRW debut, who insisted on a purely athletic endeavor. We obliged, and we're glad that we did. Sean Evans rose to the occasion, and we ended up producing a match similar to a Movimus video (which was how we envisioned LRW Wrestling when we first began, with the "Triple F" vs. Kyle O'Connor match in 2015).
Of course, the stakes are high in this match; the winner goes on to meet the wrestler who has held our championship title since that aforementioned, very first match-up -- Fratboy Francis Franklin aka "Triple F" (the entitled young gentleman from the posh environs of Fairfield County, Connecticut).
Both Adam and Sean throw everything they have into this match; you can gauge their intensity by studying their facial expressions. In the end, both wrestlers are exhausted, but the more exhausted of the two falls victim to a clean, legal pin at the hands of his more resilient opponent. There are no shortcuts and no illegal maneuvers -- just a grueling bout that concludes only two minutes short of our established, 15-minute time limit. The loser is understandably disappointed, but gracious in defeat.
The actual match (along with two brief ring introductions) lasts 13 minutes, 2 seconds (so the emphasis in this video is definitely on wrestling, not show business). Both wrestlers were available for post-match interviews, bringing this video to a total length of 19 minutes, 14 seconds.

An Injured Freddie Young Discusses LRW Wrestling Match #9

Sporting a week-old black eye, Old Freddie Young discusses the mayhem following the filming of LRW Wrestling match #9: The Masked Who Dat? vs. Hayden Beaulieu. Freddie alludes to the fine line between "works" and "shoots" in underground wrestling (sort of like "life imitating art" and vice versa), basically shrugs off the incident, and promises to keep producing videos for all of you LRW Wrestling fans.

Video #9: The Masked Who Dat? vs. Hayden Beaulieu (Available For Download)

FYI, Hayden said that he really did feel as though his lips would crack during this segment.

In Video #9, haughty Hayden Beaulieu finally gets what's coming to him -- in a no-disqualification, no-submission, no-time-limit match against the sinister Masked Who Dat? from the mysterious Bywater area of the Ninth Ward in New Orleans, Louisiana!!!
How humiliating!!! The Masked Who Dat? takes his dawg for a walk.
In our last video presentation, Sean Evans laid down to give his "bro" Hayden a cheap victory, and LRW Wrestling was forced to market an embarrassingly short match. This video, however, lasts a long (far too long for Hayden) 23 minutes and 48 seconds -- 18 minutes and 46 seconds devoted to ring intros and the actual match plus 5 minutes and 2 seconds of post-match chaos and mayhem!!!

A hungry Who Dat? begins to cannibalize his young opponent during this no-disqualification match
(Video #9 is actually the second part of LRW Wrestling's tribute to David Lynch's cult classic, "Blue Velvet" -- and the Masked Who Dat? certainly portrays the Frank Booth character accurately!!!)

LRW Wrestling's Hayden Beaulieu Sings "Blue Velvet"

Please keep young Hayden Beaulieu in your thoughts and prayers -- he seems destined for some rough times. Poor baby.
In this video, Hayden is introduced to the LRW Wrestling world as a budding chanteur, performing "Blue Velvet" in a style similar to Lana Del Rey's (as opposed to the classic Bobby Vinton version). Handling the intros is none other than Hayden's bosom buddy (and would-be Velvet Mafia tag team partner), Sean Evans.
Of course, Old Freddie Young has put the kibosh on the whole Velvet Mafia idea, jeopardizing the tender bromance by forcing Sean and Hayden to fight each other -- no disqualifications and no submissions -- in the next LRW Wrestling production. After Hayden's disrespectful comments to Old Freddie ("creepy and bizarre" indeed!) and display of homophobic panic during his introductory interview, Freddie has behaved in an unhinged, vengeful manner mirroring Dennis Hopper's portrayal of Frank Booth in the David Lynch cult classic. Like Frank Booth's heterosexual obsession for a seductive, self-destructive chanteuse, Freddie's fixation on the neophyte grappler has prompted him to announce that he himself will serve as referee for the contest -- ensuring that Hayden endures maximum pain and suffering!!!
Sean Evans is a recent college graduate who is up-to-his-neck in debt. Despite his bond with Hayden, Sean knows where his bread is buttered and who signs his paychecks. Sean is expected to put his personal feelings aside and punish Hayden unmercifully -- with Old Freddie driving him to commit even greater acts of cruelty!!! This sort of match is a major departure for LRW Wrestling, and Video #8 will be a presentation that you won't want to miss!!!

LRW Wrestling Presents...Hayden Beaulieu

Hayden Beaulieu, a budding thespian and recent graduate of Plainfield High School (serving perhaps the most rural environment in Connecticut) received a rather rude welcome to LRW Wrestling.
LRW Wrestling stalwart Sean Evans (now known as "The Sandman" due to the fact that he has been taught the Sleeper Hold by none other than Nathaniel Noel) announced the formation of a new tag team known as The Velvet Mafia (Freddie passed on the opportunity to discuss the connotations of that phrase) and introduced his partner, Hayden Beaulieu -- who was clearly ill at ease from the moment he stepped in front of the camera.

As Freddie became obsessive/possessive at the sight of the photogenic young man clad in his blue velvet ring jacket, Hayden's sense of traditional masculinity was threatened. Off camera, Freddie tried to explain, "Putting people at ease has never been my forte."

Beaulieu (which literally means "beautiful place" in French) constantly veered between condescension and trepidation when interacting with Freddie, making conflict inevitable.

When Freddie displayed a compulsion to rhapsodize over Hayden's ring attire, the thin-skinned youth defensively mocked Freddie's sartorial splendor by calling him, "The Yellow Man."

Freddie felt disrespected by the remark, but blamed Hayden's insolence on astrological influences (Hayden is a Libra, "the only sign symbolized by an inanimate object," while Freddie is a highly emotional Cancer) in an attempt to salvage the interview.
During the shoot, Hayden sometimes seemed shyly amused by Freddie's effusive flattery, but there was a fine line between Hayden's amusement and scorn.

Hayden's introductory interview took a turn for the worse when Freddie placed his hand on Hayden's shoulder to calm the sheltered young man's anxieties. Hayden immediately shook off Freddie's hand while exclaiming, "I'm not about that!"

At that point, a change came over Freddie and a seamy side to his nature appeared. Freddie vetoed Sean's idea of a tag team partnership, appearing jealous of the apparent "bromance" between the Velvet Mafia members. Instead, Freddie proposed a singles match pitting the two friends against each other, spitefully stipulating it to be a "no disqualification, no submission" match in which Freddie himself would serve as referee.

In his unhinged state, Freddie went so far as to physically threaten Hayden, who reacted by asserting, "I'm not going to fight you!" When Freddie accused Hayden of being intimidated, Hayden instinctively responded, "I'm not afraid of you. You're just too creepy and bizarre!"

Ranting that no one had ever had the audacity to call him "creepy and bizarre," Freddie began to channel New Orleans culture: the WhoDat nation, the voodoo rituals, and life in the Ninth Ward on the other side of Desire. Freddie has vowed to create a brutal, sadistic video to punish the object of his obsession.
(NOTE: The LRW Wrestling Locker Room page has been updated to include the addition of Hayden Beaulieu to our roster.)
Now it's dark.
